Bedek HaBayit

Karo never stopped working on the Beit Yosef. In Bedek HaBayit — “repairing the house,” a play on the name of his great book — he gathered the additions, corrections and responses to critics that he wrote after its publication. It was printed in Salonica in 1605, thirty years after his death, and is today usually printed alongside the Beit Yosef itself.
